Bass Guitar Lessons

At Bee Sharp Music Studio, our bass guitar lessons in Pittsburgh meet you where you are. Maybe you're starting from scratch. Maybe you want to join a band, or you're already playing but looking to sharpen technique that's gotten a little rusty. Either way, we build lessons around that.

We work across rock, jazz, funk, and blues, mixing music theory and ear training in with actual playing, not just drills. You'll cover fingerstyle and pick technique, muting, walking bass lines, slap and pop basics, and rhythmic subdivision. The goal isn't just clean technique. It's a real feel for the music.

As you progress, we add sight-reading, improvisation, and transcribing into the mix, along with songs you actually want to play. Lessons are open to all ages, and scheduling is flexible enough to work around school, work, or whatever else fills up your week. If you want more, we also offer performance opportunities, recording practice, and band coaching, plus clear practice plans so you always know what to work on next.
