PRIVATE LESSONS
Every lesson is shaped around the student's age, experience, and goals. Your first private lesson is free, so you can meet Katherine and see if the studio feels like the right fit before committing to anything.
Weekly private lessons start at $40, with 45- and 60-minute options. Not sure which length makes sense for you? We'll help you figure that out based on your goals and experience level.

Feel free to take a look at the fine print
-
Lesson Duration & Frequency: Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions. Students may enroll in once-weekly or twice-weekly lessons, based on availability and instructional goals.
Tuition Model (Important): Bee Sharp Music Studio operates on a monthly lesson package model.
Monthly tuition: Some months have 4 lessons scheduled, while others have 5. Monthly tuition reflects the number of lessons scheduled in that month. Tuition is not averaged across the year. Tuition is not reduced for students’ absences.
*Monthly tuition is used to provide students with a consistent weekly lesson time and to support long-term musical progress. Rather than paying per individual lesson, families enroll in a monthly lesson package based on the number of scheduled lessons for that month, making it a budget-friendly, cost-effective option in the long term.
Punctuality: Please arrive on time. Late arrivals will not extend the scheduled lesson.
-
Payment Schedule: Invoices will be sent on the 1st day of the month. A 7-day grace period applies. Payments received after the 8th day of the month will incur a late fee per invoice.
Accepted Payment Methods:

Student Cancellations: Lessons canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice may qualify for a make-up lesson, subject to instructor availability. Absences do not reduce the tuition. Monthly tuition reserves your weekly spot, and absences must be rescheduled. A makeup credit will be granted after the student provides enough notice for the absence.
Make-Up Lessons
Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the next 30 days and are subject to the instructor’s availability. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and may be offered during alternative times.
Unused make-up credits expire after 30 days.
Lessons canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed without notice (no-shows) are forfeited and are not eligible for a make-up.
Missed Lessons: Tuition is still billable for students’ absences/missed lessons without notice.
Termination or withdrawal from lessons: To discontinue lessons, a written notice must be provided at least 30 days in advance. Tuition is still due for the final month of enrollment.
-
In the event the instructor must cancel due to illness, emergency, or professional engagement, advance notice will be provided whenever possible. A make-up lesson or credit will be offered. There are no refunds for instructor-canceled lessons.
*In the event of severe weather, power outages, or circumstances beyond the instructor’s control, lessons may be canceled without refund. A make-up lesson, credit, or online lesson may be offered at the instructor’s discretion.
-
Practice Commitment: Students are expected to practice a minimum of 4 days per week, following guidance provided during lessons.
Practice Environment: A quiet, well-lit, distraction-free space is recommended for effective practice.
Parental Involvement: For students under 8 years old, parents or guardians are encouraged to attend lessons and assist with home practice.
